The morning sun was shining brightly over Silvermoon City. He sat in the Bazaar, reading a book he had gotten from his father. He couldn't believe how many years he had been gone, but was happy to finally be home and at ease. Though, he was now a death knight, he still had his heart and wondered where his beloved Jastinil had gone.
He sighed, looking up from his book and over at the fountain. "I wonder where Jas ran off to this time," he thought out loud.
Walking back into the inn, he placed the book back on the shelf where his father had gotten for him, and then walked out to Eversong Woods and down to the Azuremist Shore. There, he knew he could clear his head. He did tell Jas where he could find him with a note he left on the table in their room, hoping he would remember to find him there.
He sat near a large tree, staring out over the ocean, thinking. Letting out a soft yawn, he looked up over his shoulder. Still nothing. Where could he be? He thought.
"Where the hell are you, Jas?" He said out loud in a soft loving tone as he sat there, watching the sunset.
It had already taken long enough for Jastinil to get back to Silvermoon City, needless to think that Arthas had held him back from getting home for long enough. He wondered if he did the right thing, following Yomurai to his own death and coming back as a death knight. Still, he felt a lot like his old self, still full of love in his heart and stuck with the physical set-back of blindness in his left eye. Damn Arthas, he thought to himself, you’d think that much wouldn’t be a problem if you brought me back as this monstrosity.
Jastinil made his way back to the inn, making his way back to the old room he used to share with Yomurai. He grunted in pain as he hit his leg against the table. “Goddamn it,” he muttered before looking up at the mirror at his reflection. He certainly had changed; the paleness of death in his skin concealed the tone of the scar on his face, his eyes were now a icy blue, even the face he saw was no longer familiar to him. Was this thing he saw in the mirror really him? This monster?
He lifted some of the armor away from the chest, looking in the mirror. Sure enough, only one of his many scars was there; the killing blow to his murder from so long ago. All the other scars were concealed by his paleness, which didn’t surprise Jas in the least. What did surprise him was the note he saw on the surface of the table. The moment he saw the familiar scribbles of Yomurai’s handwriting, he snatched up the letter, reading carefully. It wasn’t long at all before he was back outside, on his horse and heading for the shore.
Yomurai still sat near the tree on the beach, sighing softly as he stood up, placing his helmet on getting ready to ride back to the city on his horse. Damn that Lich King for all this, he thought. Why couldn't he remember who it was that murdered him? All he wanted was a family, and the one that had killed him in the Ghostlands was no where to be found.
He slowly mounted his charger, sliding on his rune-bladed sword. The coolness of his icy breath was visible in the evening sky. He kept his head low, wondering if Jastinil was even still alive. He wanted to surprise him and show him he broke the spell of the Lich King and becoming a master swordsman as a Knight of the Ebon Blade. The only thing that held him back was his heart. Where could his beloved be? Was he dead or alive? He shook his head sitting there on his mount, looking back out over the ocean of the shore.
Jastinil forced his horse down the familiar paths and to the shore at racing speed. He had longed to see Yomurai since the incident so long ago. How could he still be alive, he wondered, I even saw his body…
The moment Jastinil saw another death knight’s horse standing by a tree, he pulled back on the reins to force his mount to a halt. The horse did stop with a slide, but was spooked by the sudden halt and reared itself up in fright. Before Jastinil even realized it, he was flat on his back in the sand, trying to regain his lost wind.
“Damn horse…” he said after a few moments of recovery. He got up, brushing the sand off himself angrily. He hadn’t expected to see another death knight on the shore, looking up at the mounted figure. Jastinil had always been one of the more stubborn death knights, one that never liked to wear his helmet because he already had his bad eyesight to slow him down.
“You there,” Jastinil called to the other knight.
Yomurai looked up, seeing that a death knight had fallen from his horse. Dismounting he walked over to him, staring at him. Could it be? He thought.
"Are you alright?" He asked him as he slowly slipped his own helmet off. "Looks like you took a nasty fall."
He grinned down at Jastinil, knowing whole heartily who he was. What would he think of him being a death knight? His calm coolness of his attitude and long bronze hair falling neatly in place made him look like he was the same eighteen year old who was murdered so long ago.
Jastinil grunted as he stretched. “Nothing broken or too badly injured, I’ll live.”
He growled, looking over at his mount. “Damn horse, it’s been doing that to me for the longest time. I’m lucky it hasn’t broken my back yet with all it‘s bucking and rearing.”
He looked over at the other knight, his eyes widening in amazement to see his appearance. He could hardly believe what he saw, knowing right away who it was. Could it really be? He had to know for sure.
“Yomurai?”
Yomurai nodded. "Yes, Jas...It's me." He chuckled slightly at his beloved, grinning from ear to ear. "You were expecting someone else?"
Standing there in front of him, staring at Jas, he waited on a reaction from him. He didn't move, waiting and watching him as his long hair was blowing in the breeze of the ocean air.
"Looks to me you need riding lessons too?" He chuckled.
Jastinil was surprised for a moment, almost unable to believe all that was going on. He suddenly embraced Yomurai tightly, obviously overcome seeing him again.
“I can’t believe it’s really you, love,” said Jastinil. “I’ve missed you so badly all this time, since I…found out about what happened to you.”
He became quiet, his embrace tightening around Yomurai.
Yomurai blinked, looking at Jas, holding him in his own embrace. "I'm fine, Jas. Well...sort of. I'm just a death knight now, that's all that has changed in all honesty."
Smiling at his beloved Jastinil, he kissed him on his brow. He too became quiet, keeping him in his embrace.
Jastinil nodded, finally speaking. “Believe me, I know the exact feeling of being a death knight, but I doubt I really have to tell you that.”
He gave a slight chuckle, kissing Yomurai’s cheeks lovingly. It was more than obvious how much Jas missed him, the scars of his loss completely turning around into the love he had always held.
"What happened to you, Jas? I was not expecting you to be a death knight also." Yomurai looked at him with a puzzled look. "All I can say about what I remember before my death is I was on my way home from the Ghostlands after some training. After that, I have no clue other than becoming a death knight and fighting on the side of the Lich King, Arthas. The damned monster, he betrayed us all. Is there anything you wanted to do, since we're united again?"
Yomurai's eyes still had the demonic red like he usually had when he was upset or surprised, and his fangs a tad longer than they use to be. He smiled at his beloved, laying one on him as he kissed him passionately before he could answer him.
"I was lost without you, Jas. Even in death, I missed you."
Jastinil returned his kiss deeply, holding it before releasing and answering Yomurai’s question. “I had a bit of trouble myself, got myself murdered to be exact. I found your body out in the Ghostlands, crushed me to see you like that. I wanted revenge and started to track down the culprits. Before I knew it, I ran into Soubai’s old gang again. I suppose they were surprised to see that I was still alive after they tried immolating my head and wanted to finish the job. They surrounded me, started to stab at me with their knives and daggers, but they were surprised when I just wouldn’t die. I did manage to take a few of them with me before one of the bastards finally got my heart.”
He shook his head, kissing Yomurai once more and keeping him tight in his embrace. “It doesn’t matter anymore. Death knight or not, I’m back now and all I care about is having you with me again, love.”
Yomurai turned to walk away for a moment. Keeping his back to Jas, he sighed softly. "You ran into them, but...the killer that killed me...wasn't who you would really expect it to be, Jas."
He kept silent and his back turned from him. He didn't want Jastinil to see him crying since they were finally back together, so he put his helmet on, walking to his horse. He didn't say anything, mounting his horse, and giving it a quick flick of the reins as he turned back to look at him.
"Just be glad we're back together." Yomurai finally said after a few minutes, before taking off toward the city. He left Jas standing there as he came to a stop outside the city near the benches where they first met. He dismounted, sitting on the bench quietly.
Jastinil got on his horse, following after Yomurai. It didn’t take long before he found Yomurai sitting on the bench. He dismounted, walking over and taking a seat next to him. “What did you mean by that, love? I don’t mean to sound intrusive by asking, but I do worry about you. I don’t want anything else to happen to you.”
Jas took one of Yomurai’s hands, caressing it lovingly. “I didn’t know whether those bastards killed you or not, I just got unlucky by running into them.”
He finally lifted the helmet from his love’s head. “You have no idea how happy I am having you back, love, that much I can assure you of. You are more important to me than anything else.”
Yomurai looked up, revealing tears. He kept quiet for a few moments as he used his other hand to rub his eyes. "Believe it or not…it was them, but among them was my brother, Jas. I just found out him and Soubai were like us...lovers. He ordered them to kill me...even though I still regret killing Soubai, I'm glad he's gone. I could really use something to take my mind off of all of this...I just don't know exactly what...I don't know if I should train or really know what to do."
He lowered his head back down, letting his loose hair fall into his face. It was not pulled up in a ponytail like it used to be, but it was clear he was troubled still. He loved Jas and couldn't believe what he had told him.
"I love you, Jas. I always have...everything that has happened between us, I still keep it locked inside to keep me from losing my cool. You're the only one I've been able to trust outside of my family...other than my brother...my mom and dad don't even know I've returned." He said, keeping his head low, breaking his short silence.
Jastinil took Yomurai into his arms again, trying to comfort him. “I can’t believe it, that your own brother would do this to you. You’re his family and, as much as I hate to say it, family does come before your love. But Soubai…how the hell did that happen?…Nevermind. Either way, your brother shouldn’t be so cold toward you. You’re his flesh and blood, not to mention Soubai was the biggest bastard in the world to you…”
He stopped, cutting himself off before losing control of his temper. “Forget about him for now. I’m sure your parents would be thrilled to hear that you’ve come home, love, it would probably be better to talk with them and let them know what happened. You can always come back to me later and I’ll see what I can do as far as cheering you up.”
Jas wiped the tears from Yomurai’s face, smiling at him lovingly.
"But...Jas...I don't want my parents to see me like this..." He looked up at him, blinking. "Can't I just...go see them tomorrow? It is a bit late...besides...I...I don't want to startle my mother."
He sat there as tears ran down his cheeks. What else could he do? His parents would find out either way that he was back, but a death knight that broke free of Arthas' grasp.
"I...can't do it...Jas...I...don't want to go alone.."
Jastinil kept his embrace tight around Yomurai. “Don’t worry, love. I never said you had to go tell them right now, but when you do go to tell them, I’ll go with you if you’d like. For right now, you can just stay with me.”
Jastinil knew that it would be hard for Yomurai to avoid his parents finding out, but he got to know them well enough to assume they would take it alright, or at least be able to accept what happened. As for Yomurai’s brother, Zardis, he felt no mercy about letting his parents know about the incident. Something had to be done to keep anything from happening to his beloved again.
Yomurai nodded, laying his head on Jastinil's chest. He wasn't sure on what to do other than sit there in his embrace. He felt he was the one at fault for all the things that happened. The death of Soubai, his brother's revenge, and then Jas getting involved in all the chaos.
"I'm sorry you got involved in all this, Jas...I truly am..." He sniffled slightly, wiping his own tears, keeping his head on his chest. "I never meant for all this chaos to happen...If I hadn't run off...you would still have sight in both eyes and I wouldn't have lost most of my memories. I blame myself for everything that has happened..."
He became quiet, remaining still in Jas' arms as he wrapped his own around Jastinil's waist.
“Don’t worry so much about me, love,” said Jastinil calmly. “I don’t mind doing all this for you. Besides, I’ve managed to adapt, both with my eyesight and my death knight transformation. I really wasn’t kidding when I said I’d do anything for you, nobody else means as much to me as you do.”
He tightened his embrace around Yomurai, sitting there with him, trying to comfort him as best he could. “I know you didn’t mean for any of this to happen, but things do occur for a reason. I wouldn’t think of this transformation as something horrible, more like a second chance. Then again, I guess you can still just call me an optimist.”
"Love me tonight, Jas...please..." Yomurai suddenly looked up into his eyes. He was determined to make Jastinil happy and would also do anything for him.
He sat there, tears running down his face and the look of needing Jas in his eyes. Yomurai wanted so badly to know if he could still feel and love him for what he was. He wanted more than to just to be held; he wanted Jas more than ever.
Jastinil was surprised at first to hear Yomurai’s words, but a soft smile soon made a way across his face. “Alright, love, I will if that’s what you want.”
He helped Yomurai back to his feet, leading him back to their old room in the Silvermoon City inn. He locked the door behind them once they were inside, pulling Yomurai into his embrace once again.
Jas’ own desire started to become apparent as he kissed Yomurai’s lip passionately, his arms growing tighter with each passing moment. It had been far too long since Jas was last in the heat of the moment with Yomurai, but he hadn’t lost his touch in the least. He pulled off Yomurai’s armor until his entire upper body was bare, kissing down his neck and shoulders lovingly.
Yomurai tilted his head back, letting Jas caress him with kisses as he let out a soft gasp. His eyes told Jas to continue as he let himself lay back on the bed, revealing his own desire to make Jastinil happy.
Loosening his own belt for Jas, he helped him pull his own pants off until he was completely exposed. It was clear what he wanted as his eyes remained locked on Jastinil. Yomurai kissed his lover's lips romantically for a long while. He was clearly in the heat of the moment and wanted so badly to have Jastinil to himself for tonight.
"Jas...I'm ready..." Yomurai whispered in his lover's ear, slowly breaking away, showing how much he was aroused by the kisses as he held his own manhood, smiling at Jas. "Please...continue..."
Jastinil smiled at Yomurai lustfully, touching and kissing him all over, renewing himself with his lover’s body. He started to pull off his own armor, taking an occasional pause to go back to Yomurai with attention. Jastinil didn’t continue to give his all until he was also completely exposed.
He climbed on top of Yomurai, still looking down at him lovingly, starting to shower him with kisses again. His hands roamed about the entire course of Yomurai’s body, seducing, searching. His tongue became lively with passion, licking at Yomurai’s lips until it managed to sneak its way into the chasms of his mouth.
Yomurai wrapped his arms around Jastinil, rubbing down his chest and back. He too was renewing himself with Jastinil's body, kissing him back in the same manner. His eyes looking up at him with a rare grin, wanting him.
"I love you so much, Jas. I'll do anything you want. Let me just have you tonight...please..." He whispered in his lover's ear, his hot breath lingering on Jastinil's skin as he kissed his neck softly. "It's been too long...I want to feel you...all of you..."
Yomurai's eyes begged Jastinil for more as he lay back, readying himself for his lover.
“It has been far too long, love,” Jastinil whispered back lovingly. “But you don’t have to worry. I’ll be here for more than just tonight. I’ll be here for you as long as you need me.”
His smile widened into a longing smirk, his eyes flashing with lust. He pulled Yomurai into another passionate kiss, distracting him from the pain as he slid himself in. He couldn’t help but to moan lovingly, pleased to be with Yomurai like this again. Jas waited a moment or so before he began to thrust, his pattern stabilizing into a slow and steady pattern.
Jas kissed at Yomurai’s neck, his breath hot as he whispered to his beloved. “I love you, Yomurai. I’d kill to be with you like this.” He continued, pleasing Yomurai as he did by massaging his member just like he was accustomed to.
Yomurai couldn't help but to gasp and moan with pleasure. He wanted this more than his lover could ever imagine. He loved Jastinil and he told him so with his eyes, moans, gasps, and kisses. His hands traced down Jastinil's chest, feeling him as he gasped with pleasure, his own breath hot on Jastinil's ear as he nibbled at it and whispered sweet nothings.
"I love you…I don't want to leave you alone...not now...not ever..." He arched his back a bit as his member was massaged, enjoying being this way after a long time not having him. There was nothing he couldn't do without Jas with him; he was his lover and his strength.
He continued to kiss Jas every chance he got in between his pleasures and gasping moans, wanting him and wanting to settle his desiring passion he longed for.
"Even like this...I love you, Jas..." Was the last thing Yomurai was able to say before his voice was overcome with moans of pure pleasure and happiness.
Jas did everything he could to keep Yomurai pleased, returning every kiss with a passionate one of his own, letting every touch linger over Yomurai’s body. His own voice had been long lost to his own moans and grunts of pleasure, thrilled to have his lover back and to be with him. Jas was no fool about telling the difference between reality and a dream, but this moment was more than just a dream come true to him. Yomurai was everything to Jastinil; as long as he had Yomurai, there was nothing he couldn’t do.
Jas continued, his thrusting starting to grow harder and faster as he fulfilled Yomurai’s and his own every desire. Before he knew it, Jas was at his climax, releasing himself into Yomurai with a final thrust.
Yomurai arched his back, also releasing his own climax as it spilled out over him. His eyes closed and his head rearing back as tears of happiness were released from his eyes, slowly relaxing and his breath still warm on Jastinil's skin, kissing him passionately.
Wrapping his arms softly around Jas' shoulders, he looked up at him, smiling. "It has been too long, love. I really missed you, Jas...I missed this..."
Yomurai kept his gaze on Jas, still smiling with watery eyes. What else could he tell him but that he loved him? He was thrilled to have Jas back and thrilled to be here in bed with him.
"Jas...I...I don't want to go see my parents alone. Will you...go with me?" He asked, giving him a soft kiss on the lips.
Jastinil returned Yomurai’s kiss, pulling himself out and rolling off to the side. He pulled Yomurai into his embrace at he answered. “Of course I will, love. I said I’d go with you if you wanted me to.”
He held Yomurai tightly, laying still on his back and gazing down at his love. Having Yomurai with him again was a relief, but being with him like this was truly a God-send. All Jas could do was lie there with a smile on his face, happier than he could start to comprehend now that he had his lover back.
Yomurai nuzzled Jas' chin, laying his head on his chest. Odd enough, he had fallen fast asleep with a smile on his face. He still loved Jas, no matter what form he was in, he still wanted to be here with him. He couldn't help but smile, relaxing all the while, fast asleep throughout the night.
Soon, morning came and he was still fast asleep. The display from night before with Jas comforted him that he only just started to stir.
Jastinil woke when he felt Yomurai stir, looking down at him with a smile. He sat up slowly, giving Yomurai plenty of chance to move.
“I hope you slept well, love. You want to try finding your parents or wait a little longer before going to find them?”
Yomurai opened his eyes, looking up at Jas. He nodded slightly, still with a worried look in his eyes.
"I'm...worried they'll not like me because I am a death knight now, Jas. What do you think I should do?" His voice soft and worried in tone.
He got up out of the bed, still fully exposed as he started to dress back up into his armor. Once dressed, he let out a soft sigh, still seeming worried as he looked over at Jas. "I hope it all goes well. I bet they'll flip seeing me like this." He kept his head low, sitting back next to Jas, his hair still a mess as he looked down at him. "I hope they'll remember me."
Jastinil got up out of bed, looking for his own armor and starting to get dressed. “Believe you me, I’m more than certain they’ll remember you. As for how they’ll take the transformation, not much I can do about that.”
He went over to Yomurai, starting to straighten out his hair for him. “Just don’t worry so much, love. I have a feeling things will turn out alright in the end.”
Jas pulled a spare hair band from his bag, tying Yomurai’s hair back into a ponytail just like he used to wear it. “Lets see about finding your folks, hm?”
Yomurai blinked at Jas straighten his hair, slowly nodding, but a bit hesitant to do anything. He also wanted to ask Jas something else, but wasn't sure how to word it. He figured he'd let his secret wait until after he saw his parents.
"I...hope you're right, Jas. I trust you and always have." Yomurai looked up, smiling.
Jastinil nodded, taking Yomurai under his arm. “Alright, lets see about finding your parents.”
Joheanna sat at the fountain out in the Bazaar, still completely distraught from her son’s death. What made her feel even worse was that she didn’t even know what happened or who could have even done something so horrible to Yomurai. She sat in the grass, one hand on the edge of the fountain and the other hanging limply at her side. Joheanna couldn’t help but to stare into the water, trying to keep any more tears from escaping.
Yomurai saw his mother and looked over at Jas. "Let me talk to her, Jas." Was all he said before walking over to her.
Standing there silently, he kept his head low, looking at Joheanna. Looking back over his shoulder at Jastinil, then back at his mother, he cleared his throat softly.
"Mama?" Was all that he was able to say, hoping she wouldn't be frightened of him.
Joheanna was surprised when she heard the familiar voice, wondering…She turned her head upward to look up at Yomurai, knowing the appearance right away despite the change with the death knight features. She was very surprised to see him standing right in front of her. Still, she had to know for sure that it was her son and not just a trick of the mind.
“Yomurai?”
Yomurai nodded, looking at his mother. "Yes, mama. It's me. I broke free of Arthas' grasp." He looked back toward Jastinil, motioning for him to come over. "I wasn't the only one who had the awful transformation, but somehow we both were able to break free of his mind control over us."
Smiling at his mother, he stood there, waiting on any other reactions.
Before Jastinil could even take a step away from where his was, Joheanna jumped to her feet and nearly on top of her son. She threw her arms around Yomurai, keeping a tight embrace around him.
“My baby!!” she shouted, kissing his cheeks and happy to see her son again. It wasn’t until a few moments later that her feelings caught up to her and she felt his death knight chill.
“Brr!” she pulled away slightly, still looking up at Yomurai. “Honey, you’re cold as death…I don’t care right now. I’m just so happy to have you home and safe.”
Joheanna tightened her embrace again, unable but to feel happy for Yomurai’s return.
Yomurai blinked at his mother. "Mama...I know this sounds odd, but..." Looking over his shoulder at Jas, he smiled. "Jas is the one that talked me into letting you know I was home."
Asche heard Joheanna's excitement, running out of the inn and into the Bazaar, nearly falling down the porch steps. As he caught himself, he saw Jastinil, then looked toward the fountain near Joheanna. "What in the name of the Earthmother!" Was all that came flying out of his mouth, and his eyes wide with surprise.
Yomurai perked up his ears, hearing his father's voice. He turned completely around, still standing next to Joheanna as he kept his gaze on Asche.
"You alright, dad?" Yomurai asked.
Asche blinked in surprise and nodded, clearly amazed to see his son as a death knight. His expression said it all, for his voice was lost in shock.
Joheanna went over to Asche, trying to help him snap out of shock. “Asche, honey, are you alright? Can you say anything?”
Jastinil walked over next to Yomurai. “Well, they definitely recognized you, that’s for sure, and they seem to be taking it fairly well…”
Yomurai tilted his head toward Jas with a slight chuckle. "I think my dad is a bit shocked." He crossed his arms over his chest, starting to chuckle a bit more.
Asche blinked his eyes, shaking his head. "Yeah...yeah...I'm fine...but…Yomurai...he's...alive?"
Jastinil chuckled a bit as well, trying his best to hide it. “It sounds to me like he’s a bit more than just shocked, love.”
Joheanna nodded. “I could hardly believe it too, hun, but he’s here again. Both him and Jastinil got away from Arthas and came home. They’re both death knights now, but at least they’re alive, not to mention safe at home.”
"Jas, I need to talk to you alone later." Yomurai whispered into his love's ear. "Something I wanted to talk to you about. First, I need to let my parents know where we'll be, and perhaps we can then go chat about what I need to ask you?"
He grinned from ear to ear, walking toward his parents. "Mom, dad...I need to speak to Jastinil about something. I will stop by again later. We've been staying here at the inn if you need to find us for anything. I hope it's alright that I run off and get some training done that I have missed." He smiled, looking back at Jas, then back at his parents. " Dad, don't have a heart attack...you don't want to come back like me and Jastinil did."
Yomurai chuckled, waiting on response from his mom and dad.
Asche nodded, looking down at Joheanna with a grin on his face. "Alright…just make sure you come back safe, son. I'm sure your mother doesn't want to lose you again."
“That’s a guarantee,” Joheanna agreed with a nod. “Do what you need to, honey. We’ll still be here if you need us.”
Jastinil stood where he was, waiting for Yomurai to come back to him. He was curious about what his love wanted to talk to him about, but he knew he could wait to hear what it was. He smiled over at Yomurai and his parents, happy to see that things were going well and that they were reunited.
Yomurai walked back over to Jas. "Ready? I was thinking of heading down to the shore for awhile. If you don't want to, that is alright. "
He waited on an answer from Jastinil as he mounted on his horse. He pulled the reins, turning to head in the direction of Azuremist Shore, waiting for his beloved.
It didn’t take long for Jas to mount his horse and follow Yomurai to the shore. Once he was there, he dismounted and let the horse off to graze. He looked over at Yomurai, still feeling curious about what was going on.
“What is it you wanted to talk to me about, love?”
Yomurai stood there, looking out over the ocean. "Did you ever want to have a family, Jas?" He had asked curiously. He didn't face him as he started to turn a slight shade of red. Finally sitting down, shaking his head, he chuckled slightly. "Forget I asked that...I'm being silly."
He sat there, watching the waves of the ocean, hoping he didn't upset Jastinil with his question. What he didn't know was Yomurai wanted to start a family by adopting a child. How could he? Was he even able to adopt being a death knight? These thoughts ran through his mind as he lowered his head, sighing shamefully. He placed an elbow on one knees as he rested his chin on his fist, thinking he might have upset his beloved Jas.
Jastinil sat down beside Yomurai, wrapping an arm around him. “Why would you think asking about a family is silly, love? Truth be told, I’d find it even sillier not at least considering a child, or worse yet just avoiding the subject completely.”
He looked out over the sea as well. “I have thought about starting a family, yes, but I didn’t want to bring up the subject until a little ways into our marriage.” He chuckled. “I guess now would be a good enough qualification.”
Jas looked back down at Yomurai. “I’m willing to try adopting a child if you want to. I really like the idea of starting a family of our own.”
